Report – Inter Milan Make Decision On High-Performing Man City Owned Defender

Manuel Akanji has been in superb form since joining Inter Milan on loan from Manchester City on deadline day.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Italian giants have already decided to make his transfer permanent.

Inter Milan signed the 30-year-old on loan from Man City in the final hours of the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, they let Benjamin Pavard move to Olympique Marseille in a similar deal.

Inter Milan to Purchase Manuel Akanji from Man City Next Summer

Manuel Akanji has already proved an upgrade on the French center-back.

Unlike his predecessor, the Swiss center-back has seamlessly integrated into the Nerazzurri defense.

Indeed, he has brought leadership, stability, and commanding presence to Cristian Chivu’s backline.

Furthermore, Akanji is not injury prone, which was one of Pavard’s main drawbacks during his time at San Siro.

As a result, the club has decided to activate a buyout option in the loan agreement with Man City.

Therefore, Inter will shell out €15 million to sign Akanji on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
