Inter Milan will have to make several sales in order to afford the signing of teenage Parma defender Giovanni Leoni this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.

Parma defender Giovanni Leoni is right at the top of Inter’s list of targets at the back.

The Nerazzurri are fully convinced that the teenager is the right player for the future of their defense.

Inter had missed out on Leoni’s signature last summer. However, they are more determined to sign him than ever now, particularly considering the Parma connection with coach Cristian Chivu.

Inter are far from the only club keen on Leoni’s signature, though.

Inter’s city rivals AC Milan have also made the 19-year-old a major target. As have Juventus.

Then, Liverpool have also sounded out a move for Leoni.

Inter Milan Must Make Sales To Sign Giovanni Leoni

In light of Leoni’s growth, and the transfer interest in him, Parma are holding out for a significant fee.

The Emilian club want around €40 million to sell the teenage defender this summer.

This could be tough for Inter. Particularly considering that they are still chasing another major transfer target in the form of Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman.

Accordingly, SportMediaset report, inter will have to make some sales before they can afford a move for Leoni.
