Inter Milan will beat Napoli to the signature of Parma center-forward Ange-Yoan Bonny, but not in time for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Per Gazzetta di Parma via FCInter1908, the 21-year-old striker will join the Nerazzurri after the summer tournament.

Inter hoped to sign Ange-Yoan Bonny before their trip to the United States, but the clock ran out.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough time to close such a complex deal.

Therefore, the Serie A runners-up have had to postpone the Frenchman’s arrival until June.

Ange-Yoan Bonny Will Join Inter Milan from Parma After Club World Cup

Despite Napoli’s late attempt to hijack the deal, Bonny will likely team up with the Nerazzurri next month.

However, he won’t come cheap, with Parma holding out for a substantial €25 million asking price.

Meanwhile, Inter see Bonny as a perfect backup option for Marcus Thuram.

Furthermore, the player would reunite with his ex-Parma boss, Cristian Chivu, at San Siro.

With Bonny’s arrival delayed, Chivu will turn to the Esposito brothers and Valentin Carboni to deputize for his first-choice strikers.

Indeed, they’ll be the only alternatives to Lautaro Martinez and Thuram in the United States.
