Inter Milan are reportedly open to loaning young attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni to Genoa this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni is currently back at the Nerazzurri.

The 20-year-old was part of the Inter squad at the Club World Cup.

Carboni has fully recovered from an ACL tear that he suffered in October. That injury had ruled him out of the majority of last season.

The Argentine had initially joined Marseille on loan last summer. Reportedly, the French club had a purchase option, whilst Inter had a buyback option.

However, the ACL injury completely disrupted any progress Carboni had been making.

Report – Inter Open To Loaning Valentin Carboni To Genoa

Now the question is whether Carboni will go on loan again, or stay at Inter.

The Argentine has made appearances at the Club World Cup. And he in fact scored the winner in stoppage time against Urawa Red Diamonds, his first senior goal for Inter.

However, there is every chance that Carboni could go out on another loan.

The Argentine had also spent the 2023-24 season on loan with Monza.

The Gazzetta confirm that Genoa are keen on bringing Valentin Carboni in this summer.

And according to the newspaper, Inter would not be opposed to the idea of sending Carboni to the Marassi for a season.

However, this would have to be on loan rather than being a permanent transfer. Inter have no intention of losing Carboni on a permanent basis.
