Report – Inter Milan Prepared To Pay €50M Release Clause For Lazio & Italy Star On One Condition

Lazio star Nicolo Rovella could replace Hakan Calhanoglu, who looks keen to leave Inter Milan for Galatasaray this summer.

Per La Repubblica via FCInter1908, Inter would activate the Italy international’s release clause on one condition.

Despite Inter’s genuine interest in Nicolo Rovella, bringing the 23-year-old to the San Siro won’t be simple.

Indeed, his €50 million release clause remains a significant roadblock.

Furthermore, Lazio president Claudio Lotito would not let the ex-Juventus ace leave otherwise.

Lazio’s stance is clear. Rovella can only depart Stadio Olimpico if someone triggers his buyout clause.

Otherwise, they’d be happy to keep him on board.

Meanwhile, Inter must prepare for life after Hakan Calhanoglu.

The Turkish midfielder has seemingly set his heart on joining Galatasaray despite staying radio-silent amid intense rumors.

Although he’s an esteemed first-team member, Inter would consider offers for the 31-year-old.

However, they won’t let him go for less than €35-40m.

Moreover, they’d only activate Rovella’s release clause if Galatasaray pour the latter figure into their bank accounts.

Thus far, that prospect has looked far-fetched.
