Inter Milan have reportedly found a crucial breakthrough in talks with Olympique Marseille for Brazilian winger Luis Henrique.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the parties have struck a ‘verbal agreement,’ with the official announcement approaching.
It’s now a matter of ‘hours.’
Indeed, Luis Henrique should soon put pen to paper on a multi-year contract at San Siro.
Despite Marseille’s resistance, Simone Inzaghi should have the 23-year-old at his disposal for the FIFA Club World Cup.
Henrique won’t come cheap, as Inter agreed to pay Marseille around €23 million to capture his signature.
Meanwhile, the ex-Botafogo star has already accepted Nerazzurri’s contract proposal.
Therefore, only the final details are missing before he officially becomes a new Inter player.
Juventus’ late attempt to hijack Henrique’s switch to San Siro has failed to come to fruition.
As such, the versatile forward will likely be part of Inter’s squad for the upcoming Club World Cup.
Inter will compete in the United States-held tournament in mid-June.
