Report – Inter Milan Ready To Sell Ex Bayern Munich Star This Summer

Inter Milan are ready to sell defender Benjamin Pavard this summer after two seasons at the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could cash in on the Frenchman and sign Koni De Winter to replace him.

Inter Milan signed Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich two years ago. The World Cup winner arrived in the summer of 2023.

And when Pavard came to Inter, the Frenchman had a transformative impact.

The former Stuttgart defender seemed to be the missing piece in defense for Inter. He was one of the outstanding performers as Inter won the Serie A title in dominant fashion.

However, last season things were a bit different. Pavard dealt with a couple notable injuries over the course of the campaign. And furthermore, he made some high profile errors.

And in the meantime, this allowed German international defender Yann Bisseck to become ever more prominent in the Nerazzurri starting eleven.

For this reason, Tuttosport reports, Inter are ready to part ways with Pavard.

Bisseck will be a key player for the Nerazzurri under new coach Cristian Chivu, the newspaper anticipate.

And this means that Inter cannot guarantee regular starts for Pavard. That could be particularly important in the season before a World Cup.

Moreover, Pavard did not exactly endear himself to Inter with the social media gaffe of a photo playing padel with friends including AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez whilst he was out injured.

Of course, selling Pavard won’t necessarily be the easiest thing. The Frenchman turns thirty next season, and he earns €5 million net per season at Inter.

Meanwhile, Pavard still has an amortization value of €18 million to Inter. Therefore, they will want a fee in excess of that, clearly.

In any event, Tuttosport report, Inter have a clear idea of the player they want to replace Pavard with. They are ready to move for Genoa defender Koni De Winter.
