Report – Inter Milan Set Sights On Leeds United Goalkeeper To Replace Swiss Veteran

Inter Milan have reportedly identified Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier as a potential replacement for Yann Sommer. 

According to TEAMtalk via FCInterNews, the Italian giants consider the Frenchman could arrive at San Siro as early as January.

Meslier has fallen out of favor at Elland Road after several sloppy mistakes during their promotion-winning campaign last term.

Indeed, manager Daniel Farke prefers Lucas Perri over the 25-year-old.

Therefore, the Whites are open to selling their out-of-favor stopper this winter.

Yann Sommer will likely leave San Siro at the end of the season.

His contract expires next summer, with the club reluctant to offer him a new deal.

Therefore, the Serie A titans are in the market for a new goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, Josep Martinez could overtake the Swiss veteran in the pecking order for the rest of the season.

As for Meslier, Inter cannot afford to waste time. Indeed, the French ace has a host of admirers in Europe.

Galatasaray, Rangers, Fiorentina, Como, Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor, and Rennes are also in the mix.
