Real Madrid have inflicted a massive transfer blow on Inter Milan after deciding to activate a buyback clause in a deal for Nico Paz.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Argentine could join Los Merengues’ squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.

It’s been a remarkable breakout season for the 20-year-old forward.

Indeed, he has gone from strength to strength in his first year at Como, becoming one of the world’s hottest prospects.

Therefore, it’s hardly surprising that Inter Milan have been hot on the youngster’s trail for over half a year.

Real Madrid Step Up Talks for Inter Milan Target Nico Paz

Real Madrid sold Nico Paz to Como last summer but secured a chance to re-sign him on favorable terms.

Indeed, Los Blancos would only need to fork out €9 million to bring the talented playmaker back to La Liga.

As it appears, they’ll do just that.

Los Merengues want to have Paz available for the summer’s Club World Cup.

As such, they could soon accelerate negotiations with Como despite the player’s alleged wish to stay put for another year.
