Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries has changed his agent to Jorge Mendes.

This according to Italian transfer journalist Orzio Accomando. He reports in a tweet that there are no offers for the Dutchman, but that his situation is “one to monitor” particularly considering his release clause.

Doubts have emerged about the future of wingback Denzel Dumfries at Inter Milan.

At the centre of these is the emerging feud between Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

Martinez aimed thinly veiled comments at the Turk earlier this week. However, the general nature of his statements – “whoever wants to leave, should leave” – has had broader implications for the Inter dressing room.

Reportedly, Denzel Dumfries was among the players who felt that Martinez’s remarks were out of line.

Inter Wingback Denzel Dumfries Changes Agent To Denzel Dumfries

If Dumfries feels unsettled or unwanted in the Inter dressing room, he may decide it’s time to look elsewhere after four years at the San Siro.

One piece of good news for Inter is that there would be no risk of losing the 29-year-old for nothing.

Dumfries signed a contract extension last year. Therefore, if he goes, the Nerazzurri will receive a fee.

However, as part of that new deal, Dumfries put a release clause in his contract.

That release clause would be for €25 million. However, it would not be valid for clubs in Serie A.

The release clause in Dumfries’s deal is valid until July 15th.

According to Italian transfer journalist Orazio Accomando, meanwhile, there’s a notable development behind the scenes.

Dumfries has changed agent, he reports.

Having previously be represented by Rafaela Pimenta, Dumfries has joined up with Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes.

This could certainly portend a transfer for the Dutchman.

However, reports Accomando, there are currently no offers for Dumfries.
