Inter Milan target Gianluigi Donnarumma could stay at Paris Saint-Germain this summer and see out the final year of his contract.
This via FCInterNews. The Italian international could wind up remaining at the Parc des Princes even if Lucas Chevallier signs from Lille.
Inter Milan have been paying close attention to the situation of Gianluigi Donnarumma at Paris Saint-Germain.
At the moment, the 26-year-old’s contract with the French champions expires in less than a year. He is still on the same five-year deal he signed in 2021, running until the end of next June.
Therefore, Gianluigi Donnarumma could be a major free transfer opportunity next summer.
There has been a sense that PSG want to sell Donnarumma this summer if they can’t extend his deal.
There are even reports that the Parisians are eyeing up a deal for a replacement.
Reportedly, PSG are keen to sign Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevallier.
However, the Treble-winners could sign Chevallier and still keep Donnarumma in their squad. The two keepers would then compete for the starting spot, as Donnarumma had done with Keylor Navas.
In that case, Donnarumma would decide on his future over the next few months.
And then, the Italian international could very well leave on a free transfer in twelve months’ time.
