Manchester United flop Joshua Zirkzee has emerged as a potential transfer target for Inter Milan heading into the summer.
Per Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Serie A giants are contemplating a summer swoop for the Dutchman.
Despite the recent uptick in form under Ruben Amorim, the 23-year-old’s first season in the Premier League has been a disaster.
Indeed, Joshua Zirkzee has only netted three goals in 32 league appearances.
Adding other competitions into the equation, he has tallied seven across 48 matches.
Therefore, a summer exit could be on the cards.
Zirkzee was on Inter’s radar before Manchester United forked out £36.5 million to take him away from Bologna last summer.
However, the ex-Bayern Munich starlet could leave Old Trafford after only one year.
Given Zirkzee’s poor form in England, Inter could sign him on a cut-price deal.
Furthermore, his affordable wages wouldn’t pose a threat.
Indeed, Zirkzee earns around £3m net per season.
Finally, his tactical versatility would allow him to operate alongside both Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez.
