According to a report today Jurgen Klopp is putting ‘huge’ pressure on Liverpool to get Mohamed Salah’s contract talks resolved.
The Egyptian has still not put pen to paper on a new deal with his current contract due to expire in June 2023.
Football Insider are reporting today that a Liverpool source has told them that the German is applying ‘huge’ pressure on the clubs hierarchy over the Salah deal.
The report also refers to previous claims that Klopp is privately unhappy at the lack of backing in the transfer market.
The value of the Egyptian superstar to Liverpool could not be more prevalent than it is right now with Salah having scored 12 goals in all competitions so far.
He appears to have taken his performances to new levels and has many ex players and pundits claiming he is currently the best in the world.
Let's hope for a swift resolution to Salah's contract talks. The team and Salah have made a very promising start to the season and nothing should deter from that.
Skipper Jordan Henderson's contract situation was quickly resolved after the manager appeared to step in so let's hope the same happens with Salah's new deal.
