Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas had been linked with West Ham United and Wolves, but Sky Sport Italia report he’s heading to Bournemouth for €17.5m.
This represents a huge profit margin for the Aquile, considering he was signed from OFI Crete for just €1.3m in September 2023.
Although the Greece international was often chosen by Marco Baroni last season, Maurizio Sarri has consistently preferred Ivan Provedel in goal.
It means Mandas only had one appearance all season in the Coppa Italia, without playing a minute of Serie A football this term.
Nonetheless, he had clubs lining up for his services, including West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
According to Sky Sport Italia, an agreement has been reached with Bournemouth for a loan with obligation to buy for a total fee of €17.5m.
The final details are being whittled down and he should fly out for his medical tests over the next few days.
There had also been the possibility of staying in Serie A, with Juventus showing interest.
