Tottenham outcast Yves Bissouma is on the wishlist of Everton and West Ham United.

The Mali international is no longer a part of the Tottenham project. He has been frozen out of the squad following the arrival of Thomas Frank this summer. While Bissouma was expected to be on the move, things didn’t go according to plan for Spurs, as well as the player.

Everton and West Ham want Yves Bissouma

The North London club might have failed to get him off their books this summer, but he now seems certain to leave the club in January. According to a report from Football Insider, Everton and West Ham United could both reignite their interest in the 29-year-old midfielder.

The former Bighton star had a rotational role under Ange Postecoglou last season. However, a lot has changed for him since the arrival of Frank. The former Brentford boss doesn’t consider him an ideal fit for his system, and he gave the green light to his departure.

With him entering the final year of his contract, Spurs were also keen on cashing in on him. Both the Toffees and the Hammers were linked with the 29-year-old during the summer; however, a move never materialised. While the Mali international had the opportunity to join Turkish giants Galatasaray, he turned it down, as he wants to continue in England.

Can Bissouma seal a January exit?

The Tottenham star is currently sidelined with an injury, which likely played a major role in preventing a desired move during the summer transfer window. He is expected to continue at Spurs until the end of the year, but is unlikely to have any minutes.

Both West Ham and Everton could return for his signature in the winter. They seek more depth in the centre of the park, and given his experience, Bissouma could prove to be a valuable addition to their squad. Since he will only have six months left on his deal in January, Tottenham might let him leave for a nominal fee. He has been labelled as “exceptional” in the past, and a move could bring out the best in him again.
