Napoli have resumed their interest in Ademola Lookman, sending a contract offer to the Nigerian forward, but according to Gazzetta, the Atalanta star only wants to join Inter.
Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport report that Napoli have joined Inter in the race to sign Lookman.
Football Italia already reported the Partenopei’s interest in the Nigeria international in June.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli have offered Lookman €5m per season, surpassing the Nerazzurri’s proposal, which, according to Gazzetta, is €4.5m per season.
Lookman, however, seems unwilling to sign for either Napoli or Atletico Madrid, and according to The Pink Paper, he has reiterated that he only wants to join Inter this summer.
Lookman has already shaken hands with Inter over a €4.5m-a-year deal until 2030, with his wages rising to €5m during his stay at San Siro.
Inter remain in talks with Atalanta to lower their €50m asking price and, as reported by our transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, bonuses will be crucial in negotiations between the two clubs.
Napoli, on the other hand, have signed Noa Lang and Lorenzo Lucca and are planning to sign one more winger this summer.
