Report: Luis Suarez agrees to deal with Juventus

Barcelona is in the process of overhauling their roster under new head coach Ronald Koeman, and while Lionel Messi has informed the club he'd like to leave, another top-tier talent at Camp Nou reportedly has agreed to a deal with another club in Serie A.

According to Guillem Balague of BBC Sports, Luis Suarez has agreed to a deal with Juventus. He'll move to the Italian club on a free transfer if he can negotiate his release from Barca.

The Uruguayan star has one year remaining on his contract, though if he played 60% of games during the 2020-21 campaign, the contract would be extended for another year.

If Suarez does end up with Juventus, he'll play alongside Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo and under new head coach Andrea Pirlo.

Last month, Suarez said he was willing to take a bench role to stay with Barcelona, but reportedly later was informed by the club that he was no longer part of their future plans.

With Gonzalo Higuain leaving Juve, Pirlo wants to add another striker, and Suarez could be the answer. However, the club also has been tied to Edin Dzeko and Arkadiusz Milik as replacements for Higuain in recent weeks.

Suarez's former club, Ajax, are reportedly interested in him as well. Before joining Liverpool in 2011, Suarez played for Ajax from 2007-11.
