According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United closely monitored Moise Kean during the 2024-25 campaign and are now considering paying the Italian striker’s €52m clause.
Manchester United are considering paying Kean’s €52m release clause, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italy international’s clause to leave the Franchi is valid from July 1 to July 15.
The Italian striker is currently on holiday, but has only received a formal offer from Al-Qadsiah.
According to the report, the Saudi side is open to paying the clause and offering the ex-Juventus star €15m per season until 2028.
Kean, however, is unlikely to move to Saudi Arabia, especially in a season that will likely finish with the World Cup.
Manchester United are among the European clubs interested, as the Red Devils monitored Kean in many games during the latest campaign.
Manchester United’s decision on their next striker also depends on Arsenal’s moves, according to Gazzetta, with the Gunners interested in both Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
Kean’s release clause is valid every year, for the first 15 days of July, until the end of his Fiorentina contract in 2029.
The Italy international netted 25 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions with the Tuscans in 2024-25, becoming the second-best scorer in Serie A with 19 league goals.
