Manchester United have reportedly established contact with Inter Milan for the exit-linked ace Davide Frattesi.
Per CaughtOffside, the Red Devils have joined Atletico Madrid in the race for the 25-year-old.
Frattesi could join Hakan Calhanoglu as part of Inter’s exit contingent this summer.
Indeed, the ex-Sassuolo midfielder has grown tired of his bit-part role at San Siro and will fancy a summer transfer.
Meanwhile, Inter’s stance remains a mystery despite Simone Inzaghi’s departure.
Davide Frattesi was close to joining Roma in January. However, Inzaghi pulled the plug on the deal.
Moreover, Inter scared the Giallorossi off with a substantial €50 million asking price.
However, Frattesi’s value has since dropped to €35m, making him an affordable target for Europe’s top clubs.
In addition to Man Utd, Tottenham Hotspur are also hot on Frattesi’s trail.
Yet, whether the player favors a move to the Premier League remains questionable.
There’s a feeling Frattesi would rather stay in Serie A, where Napoli and Roma could offer him an escape route from San Siro.
