After being linked away from Milan, reports in Italy now suggest the Rossoneri are considering a shock u-turn that could see Alvaro Morata play a role at the club next season.

According to what has been reported by MilanNews24, the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri as Milan head coach could lead to Morata being given another chance.

Currently on loan with Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray until January 2026, reports in recent weeks have suggested that player’s loan deal could be terminated early – with rumours linking the 32-year-old Spanish striker with a switch to Cesc Fabregas’ Como team.

Allegri offers Morata a lifeline

The reports from Italy indicate that Allegri and Morata share a well-established relationship, after spending time together previously at Juventus.

The head coach shares a mutual respect and understanding with the striker and Allegri is said to appreciate the former Atletico Madrid and Chelsea man’s versatility – due to his ability to play as a typical number nine or drift out wide as an inside forward.

Milan have been linked with several offensive reinforcements, with names such as Dusan Vlahovic, Moise Kean and Darwin Nuñez all rumoured to be under the gaze of the Rossoneri. However, Morata would provide a less costly and more experienced alternative to those players.
