Report – Nigeria Star Upsets Atalanta Last-Ditch Attempt To Prevent Him From Joining Inter Milan

Ademola Lookman has handed Inter Milan a crucial transfer boost after turning down a chance to sign a new contract at Atalanta.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 27-year-old is determined to force his move to San Siro.

For context, Ademola Lookman has already accepted Inter’s contract offer, worth €4.5 million net per season.

Meanwhile, Inter submitted a €45 million bid in written form yesterday.

Despite Atalanta’s hesitation, the deal could go through soon.

Part of the reason Atalanta refused to respond to Inter’s offer immediately was their attempt to change Lookman’s mind.

Indeed, they’ve outmatched Inter’s contract proposal, offering the Nigerian €5 million net per season.

However, their hopes of blocking his transfer fell apart as the player only wants to join the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, La Dea can already start preparing for life after Lookman.

Meanwhile, selling the former RB Leipzig forward had been part of the club’s transfer plans before Mateo Retegui’s exit.

But the Italian’s big-money move to Al-Qadsiah has changed their market strategy.
