San Siro faces the risk of being excluded from EURO 2032 due to its outdated structure and lack of compliance with UEFA standards.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, there’s a genuine possibility that the stadium will lose its place as a host venue.

Indeed, the iconic stadium does not meet the standards required for the European competition.

Therefore, AC Milan and Inter must find a quick solution with the city over major renovations.

San Siro at Risk of Exclusion as EURO 2032 Host Venue

Both Milan clubs are hellbent on building a new state-of-the-art stadium in the San Siro area.

However, the city has postponed the sale until September.

Meanwhile, the clubs are reluctant to invest in renovations of an outdated venue.

Likewise, local authorities have no interest in shouldering the high costs of upgrading the aging stadium without financial returns.

It’s part of the reason Milan has already given up on the idea of hosting the 2027 UEFA Champions League final.

Given San Siro’s historical value and stature in European football, it would be a shame to see it sidelined.
