Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly joined Inter Milan in the race to sign Roma midfielder Manu Kone.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Les Parisiens could challenge the Nerazzurri for the Frenchman’s signature.
Despite Inter’s genuine interest in the summer, Roma refused to sell Manu Kone.
However, pressured to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, the Giallorossi may have to offload several first-team stars next summer.
Therefore, it’s hard to expect Kone to depart the Stadio Olimpico in January.
Though their initial attempt to sign the 24-year-old failed to come to fruition, Inter may try again.
Indeed, the San Siro giants could revive their interest in Kone at the end of the season.
Yet, this time, they will have PSG standing in their way.
Meanwhile, Kone has maintained his indispensable status at Roma under new manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
As a result, the former Atalanta coach is reportedly reluctant to discuss the French midfielder’s exit.
