Inter Milan hope to have Davide Frattesi back in the fold for the club’s final pre-season fixture against Olympiacos.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 25-year-old aims to return to action in mid-August.

Davide Frattesi was on the verge of leaving Inter during Simone Inzaghi’s tenure, but his fortunes have turned this summer.

Indeed, new coach Cristian Chivu views the ex-Sassuolo midfielder as a valuable asset heading into the next season.

Davide Frattesi Aiming to Rejoin Inter Milan Squad in Mid-August

Like Frattesi, four more Inter Milan stalwarts were not at Chivu’s disposal for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

However, Hakan Calhanoglu, Yann Bisseck, Benjamin Pavard, and Piotr Zielinski will be at Appiano Gentile today.

Furthermore, marquee summer signing Ange-Yoan Bonny is ready to meet his new teammates sooner than expected.

As for Frattesi, he has yet to regain full fitness.

Therefore, he will stay on the sidelines and miss Inter’s friendlies against Monza and Monaco.

Yet, he could be available for the final off-season clash against Olympiacos on August 16.
