Serie B newcomers Padova have reportedly agreed on personal terms with Inter Milan teenager Luca Di Maggio.

Per Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the next step is to find common ground with the Nerazzurri.

Despite convincing Luca Di Maggio to join them, Padova have yet to receive Inter’s go-ahead.

Indeed, Cristian Chivu’s men had hoped to include the 20-year-old midfielder in their U23 squad.

Therefore, the youngster’s transfer to Stadio Euganeo is anything but a foregone conclusion.

Padova Find Agreement with Inter Milan Prodigy Luca Di Maggio

Fresh off securing second-tier promotion, Padova are keen to build a competitive squad.

As such, they’ve set their sights on Di Maggio.

Meanwhile, the talented midfielder returned to San Siro in June following an impressive loan at Perugia.

Indeed, he fared well in Serie C last term, collecting 21 appearances while scoring three goals.

However, he’s not enthusiastic about joining Inter’s U23 squad. Instead, he’d rather try his luck in Serie B with Padova.

Perhaps new Primavera boss Benito Carbone could convince Di Maggio to change his mind.
