Club Brugge rising star Aleksandar Stankovic is likely to rejoin Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan at the end of the season.

According to L’Interista, the San Siro giants are eager to make the Serbian midfielder their first summer signing.

Inter sold Aleksandar Stankovic last summer for a reported fee of €9.5 million.

However, aware of his potential, they have retained a buyback clause, securing the option to bring him back for €23 million.

Furthermore, they’ve already decided to exercise that option, which would secure Stankovic’s swift return to Italian football.

Stankovic has flourished at the Jan Breydel Stadium this season, establishing himself as a key cog in Ivan Leko’s system.

Meanwhile, his scintillating form has not gone unnoticed.

Indeed, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have reportedly set their sights on the 20-year-old.

Still, Stankovic’s future could be at San Siro, with Cristian Chivu keen to bring him back home.

With Davide Frattesi set to leave the club, Stankovic could return to fill the void.
