Report: Tottenham exploring alternative payment terms to sign 'top, top young player'

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has 13 goals and 11 assists to his name this season, and he has been outstanding for the Eagles. He helped them win the FA Cup by scoring the winning goal in the final against Manchester City.

He is expected to be on the move this summer, and top clubs are keen on him. According to CaughtOffside, the player will cost £70 million, and Tottenham are exploring alternative payment terms to sign the player.

The North London club cannot afford to pay the £70 million release clause for the player in one go, and it remains to be seen whether they can find an alternative payment plan to get the deal done.

Tottenham need Eberechi Eze

The 26-year-old could be an excellent acquisition for them, and he will add creativity and goals to the side. He is capable of operating in the central attacking midfield role as well as a wide player. He could prove to be a major upgrade on players like Timo Werner and Richarlison next season. Although the asking price is quite high, he is a reliable performer in the Premier League, and he could improve further.
