Report: Tottenham handed boost in their pursuit of 'fantastic' Premier League star

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi at the end of the season, and they have been handed a boost in their pursuit of the England international.

According to Football Insider, even though Crystal Palace have won the FA Cup this season and they will compete in Europe next season, the defender is likely to move on in the summer. 

The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his contract soon, and Crystal Palace have made no progress when it comes to contract renewal. The player wants to move on and join a big club in the summer. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done. 

Cristian Romero has been linked with an exit, and the South American could be on his way out of the club soon. Spurs will have to replace him adequately, and signing the 24-year-old England international would be ideal. 

He has proven himself for club and country, and he has been labelled as a “fantastic” defender. There is no doubt that he has the quality to improve Spurs defensively. It will be interesting to see if the North London club and convince the player to join them. 

They are currently fighting for a place in the UEFA Champions League next season, and they will be able to secure qualification by winning the UEFA Europa League final tomorrow. If they manage to win the tournament, it would be a huge boost for them financially, and it would make them an attractive destination for players as well.
