Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoume during the summer transfer window.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, the 23-year-old midfielder is on the radar of Manchester United and Arsenal as well. It would require a fee closer to £20 million in order to get the deal done.

Agoume has shown his ability with Sevilla, and he could prove to be an excellent addition for Tottenham as well. He is versatile enough to operate as a central midfielder as well as a defensive midfielder. He has the physicality to thrive in English football, and he will help Tottenham improve in the midfield.

Enrique Sanchez Flores has previously heaped praise on Lucien Agoume, claiming (h/t FCInterNews): “He has an extraordinary physique and a magnificent physical condition.”

Tottenham could cash in on Yves Bissouma after his inconsistent performances last season. Agoume could be the ideal partner for Pape Matar Sarr next season. The opportunity to join Tottenham would be exciting for the French U21 midfielder as well.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to pay up. They have the financial muscle to get the deal across the line, and the deal could look like a bargain if the player manages to adapt to English football quickly.

The midfielder scored once in La Liga last season and picked up three assists. He has the tools to develop into a complete midfielder with the right coaching and guidance. The move to Tottenham could be ideal for him. He would get to play alongside quality players, and Thomas Frank might be able to get the best out of him.

Tottenham won the UEFA Europa League last season, and they will be an attractive destination for players. The 23-year-old will hope to play for a big club like Spurs in future.
