Tottenham Hotspur wants to improve their midfield; it’s a high priority for Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici, who did bring in Pape Matar Sarr from FC Metz but allowed for the teenager to remain with the French club.

One name that the north London-based club has been linked to is Cagliari Calcio’s Nahitan Nández. As the January window will open in a few weeks, Calciomercato reports that Tottenham is once again expressing interest in the 25-year-old.

The Uruguayan is a player who likes to have the ball dribble and put crosses into the box from his right-midfield position. Nandez averages 1.8 dribbles per game, winning 65-percent of them.

When it comes to the potential cost, the Italian club might want a fee close to his €36-million release clause. Nonetheless, Transfermarkt puts the midfielder’s value at €20-million.

However, Spurs won’t be the only one expressing interest as Napoli, and Inter Milan are the two other clubs eyeing Nandez.
