Tottenham Hotspur wants to add to scoring depth behind their two talented forwards, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. With UEFA Champions League football on the horizon next season, Spurs need to have more offense to not depend too much on Kane and Son.

Football.London reports that the north London has been tracking Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Lucas Paqueta, a player Newcastle United attempted to sign earlier this year.

Paqueta would bring some versatility to the Tottenham squad considering he can play an attacking midfield role, centrally or on the right, and can also play up front when needed.

This past season, the Brazil international scored 11 goals and recorded seven assists in 44 appearances for Lyon. When it comes to a possible asking price from the Ligue 1 side, Transfermarkt puts his value at £32-million for a player under contract until 2025.

As a result, Lyon isn’t in a rush to sell Paqueta if they don’t get a fee that they feel is suitable to let one of their marquee players from last season go this summer.
