Los Angeles FC is set to acquire Canadian winger Jacob Shaffelburg from Nashville SC, according to multiple reports Monday.

Nashville will reportedly receive $1 million in general allocation money -- $500,000 in 2026 and $500,000 in 2027 -- and will retain a sell-on percentage in any future deals.

The Nova Scotia native's counterattacking pace faced struggles under new Nashville coach B.J. Callaghan's possession style. LAFC's open-field system is expected to be a better fit for Shaffelburg, playing alongside Denis Bouanga and Son Heung-Min.

Shaffelburg, 26, spent most of the past four seasons in Nashville, notching 11 goals in 82 games. He had four goals and two assists in 23 matches this past season.

In 129 career MLS matches with Toronto FC (2019-22) and Nashville, Shaffelburg has 14 goals and 12 assists.
