Inter Milan could sell two or three players in addition to Hakan Calhanoglu to afford a deal for Atalanta midfielder Ederson.

This according to the Corriere di Bergam, via FCInter1908. They report that the sales of Davide Frattesi, Sebastiano Esposito, and Aleksandar Stankovic could go towards the €60-70 fee for the Brazilian.

By now, the uncertain situation of Hakan Calhanoglu has come to dominate Inter’s transfer window.

The Nerazzurri are waiting to see whether Galatasaray will arrive with a decisive offer for the 31-year-old.

And if Inter do sell Calhanoglu, then they will certainly want a suitable replacement. Reportedly, Atalanta’s Ederson is the player who checks all Inter’s boxes.

Inter Could Make Several Sales To Finance Deal For Atalanta Midfielder Ederson

The sale of Calhanoglu alone would not necessarily provide Inter with the cash to move for Ederson.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri want around €40 million for the Turk. However, with Galatasaray only putting €15 million on the table, they may have to settle for considerably lower than that.

On the other hand, Atalanta want €60-70 million to sell Ederson.

Therefore, Inter would need additional cash to fund a move for the 25-year-old.

However, the Corriere di Bergamo note, there are other players Inter could offload for fees that would go towards the transfer of Ederson.

Among these would be midfielders Davide Frattesi and Aleksandar Stankovic, and striker Sebastiano Esposito.
