Inter Milan have a shockingly impressive record without captain Lautaro Martinez, not losing in his absence since 2019.

As has been revealed by FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri have a near-spotless record without their Argentine superstar.

This comes after the Argentine was absent for the midweek win over Ajax.

After returning from international duty with a slight fitness concern, Lautaro played just 45 minutes against Juventus.

He was absent from the team against Ajax, with youngster Francesco Pio Esposito taking his place.

Furthermore, it appears likely that the Argentine will also miss Sunday’s game against Sassuolo.

Inter Milan Staggering Record Without Captain Lautaro Martinez

Since Inter last lost without him, Lautaro Martinez has missed 27 games for the Nerazzurri.

Lautaro missed some of these games due to injury and others as a result of suspension.

In 27 games, Inter have never lost without their captain.

Inter have won 21 of the 27 whilst six have resulted in a draw.

The last defeat without Lautaro came in March 2019 against a Lazio side managed by Simone Inzaghi.

The forward is back in training but is still training separately from the rest of his teammates.

Therefore, it appears to be touch and go as to whether or not he will play against Sassuolo.
