This summer, Paris Saint-Germain are looking to strengthen its midfield, and there’s quite a buzz about potential signings for the capital club. One player on their radar is Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United, and there’s been some fresh news on this front recently.

PSG looks set to have some cash to burn this summer with Kylian Mbappé’s rumored departure. They might just decide to splash out on a top-notch midfielder to solidify that position.

Regarding the latest on Guimarães, journalist Rudy Galetti reports that the Brazilian’s situation will be resolved after the Copa América. Nonetheless, Galetti’s information notes that the 26-year-old is expected to leave the Magpies this summer. 

Several suitors are lining up for the former Olympique Lyonnais standout. Manchester CityManchester UnitedLiverpoolChelseaBarcelona, and PSG are among the clubs that appreciate the midfielder. 

Additionally, journalist Ben Jacobs reveals that when Guimarães extended his contract for five years at St James’ Park, it was unusual for Newcastle to include a £100 million release clause. 

There’s an understanding that he can negotiate with UEFA Champions League clubs, and offers exceeding £80 million will be considered. The club prefers not to sell multiple players to meet financial needs, particularly since some are difficult to replace.
