Adrien Rabiot will wear the number 12 shirt for Milan this season, after joining the Rossoneri from Marseille this summer.
As confirmed by Sky, the French midfielder will take the number 12 shirt.
The number 12 has been vacant since 2023 when Ante Rebic left the club. Prior to Rebic, the shirt has been worn by the likes of Andrea Conti, Christian Abbiati and Dida.
Historically, many of the Rossoneri’s 12s have been goalkeepers, typically reserved for the club’s second choice shot-stopper.
Rabiot is due in Italy today after finishing his international duty with the French national team.
The midfielder left Marseille after a dressing room brawl with new Bologna signing Jonathan Rowe, with the duo suspended from the club and sold within days of the incident.
To add further excitement to the situation, Milan host Bologna on Sunday evening and the two players could start for the opposing sides.
