The transfer of Sebastiano Esposito to Cagliari has faced a few days of delays due to negotiations over transfer fee and sell-on fee.
This according to L’Unione Sarda, via FCInterNews.
Cagliari have been pushing to sign Sebastiano Esposito from Inter over the last few days.
The Rossoblu had actually made their big push to try and get a deal for the 23-year-old done about a week ago.
However, Parma also attempted to hijack Cagliari’s talks to sign Esposito.
In the end, reports suggest that Esposito’s own desire to make the switch proved to be key. Therefore, he will undergo his medicals with Cagliari, potentially as early as tomorrow.
Reportedly, Cagliari will pay Inter a fee of €4-4.5 million for Esposito.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri will also receive a percentage of future resale. The sell-on fee will be worth around 40% according to reports.
But all these details and figures have taken a few days to work out.
That is the reason, according to L’Unione Sarda, why Cagliari have not managed to complete a deal until today.
