Ricci, Kolo Muani, Tomori – how Milan’s transfer plans could change with Conceicao

With the change of head coach from Paulo Fonseca to Sergio Conceicao, there could also be alterations to the transfer plans for January and beyond.

As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) recall, the Milan coach said in his first press conference that he first wants to get to know all the available players. Once the introductions have been made, the new coach will indicate to the club how and where it would be appropriate to intervene.

The first news could concern a potential sale. Fikayo Tomori ended up on the fringes under Fonseca, and rumours had been circulating suggesting that Juventus are keen on signing him given their lack of depth at centre-back.

With the arrival of Conceicao, however, every player has a clean slate. Tomori wants to get back into the starting line-up and the early indications are that the Portuguese holds the Englishman in high esteem despite a difficult season so far.

During his time at Porto, Conceicao often used a 4-4-2 system with two strikers. For this reason, Randal Kolo Muani is a name to monitor, a player that Milan have been linked with several times in the past and who is totally on the fringes of Luis Enrique’s PSG team.
