Manchester United went into their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur with strong momentum in the league.

Tottenham, on the other hand, were desperate to secure a victory after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Chelsea.

The match began brightly for United but poorly for the hosts, as Bryan Mbeumo gave the visitors the lead in the first half.

Mbeumo headed home from an excellent Amad Diallo cross to make it 1-0.

The Red Devils went into half-time with a narrow lead and full control of the game.

Tottenham pushed harder after the break, but United looked composed and on course for another win.

In the 84th minute, Mathys Tel brought Spurs level after finishing from close range following a Destiny Udogie cross.

Just minutes later, the match turned again when Richarlison headed in what seemd to be the winner in the 90+1st minute to make it 2-1 for the home side.

However, United showed their trademark resilience under Ruben Amorim, refusing to give up.

In the final moments, Bruno Fernandes delivered a perfect corner, and Matthijs de Ligt powered in a header in the 97th minute to make it 2-2.

The dramatic equaliser ensured United took a deserved point from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But the draw came with bad news, as Benjamin Šeško went down injured and was substituted in the 58th minute.

Ruben Amorim confirmed after the match that Šeško had suffered a knee injury but said the seriousness was not yet known.

“Because it’s the knee, you never know,” Amorim added, suggesting the issue could be more serious than expected.

Šeško has become Amorim’s first-choice striker since his move from RB Leipzig in the summer.

Losing him to a long-term injury could seriously dent United’s recent resurgence while also raising concerns over who will lead the line for the remainder of the season.

Amorim and United could look to the transfer market in 2026 to strengthen their attack.

One player who fits the bill is Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, whom Amorim is known to admire.

United might revisit a potential move for the Polish forward in the summer.

Lewandowski’s contract is nearing its end, and with renewal talks stalling, his future remains uncertain.

However, co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has previously vetoed a move for the veteran striker, and whether United reopens that possibility will depend on their attacking options in the coming months.

For now, Amorim’s focus will be on keeping United’s momentum alive.
