Rodrigo Bentancur geared up for his long-awaited Tottenham return by scoring a spectacular goal during a training session this week.

Spurs shared footage of Bentancur's brilliant two-touch finish from 22 yards - and his teammates' stunned reactions to it - via social media.

Bentancur has been out of action since tearing his cruciate ligament in February.

However, the Uruguay midfielder is expected to feature for Spurs in the coming weeks.

Bentancur has scored six goals in 44 first-team appearances for Tottenham since signing from Juventus in January 2022.

But all of those appearances came prior to Spurs appointing Ange Postecoglou as manager.
