The fitness of Roma star Paulo Dybala is a key talking point ahead of Gian Piero Gasperini and his Giallorossi side’s October clash with Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma fell to defeat against Lille in the Europa League on Thursday evening but the focus quickly shifted to Paulo Dybala’s recovery.
Speaking to Sky Sport after the game, Gian Piero Gasperini admitted he is unsure whether the Argentine star will be ready.
The coach stressed it is “still too early” as Dybala has not yet returned to training with the squad.
Gasperini added that even the club directors are waiting for updates, making his availability far from certain.
Inter Milan face Roma immediately after the international break.
With Lautaro Martinez in form and Pio Esposito emerging as an option , Cristian Chivu’s men are preparing for a tough test regardless of Dybala’s involvement.
For Roma, the Argentine’s creativity and goal threat could make the difference in such a high-profile clash.
