Roma are reportedly bracing themselves for another serious Paulo Dybala knee injury after an incident in training yesterday, claim Sky Sport Italia.
The Giallorossi are in action this evening in the final Europa League group game away to Panathinaikos.
La Joya was called up for the trip to Athens, but then felt a twinge in training during Wednesday’s session.
According to the latest reports, the pain only intensified today and there are concerns he has sustained ligament or meniscus damage.
More tests will be required in the Capital on Friday, but the sensations are said to be ‘not good’ for Dybala.
It would be yet another setback for the Argentina international, who has a dismal injury record and whose contract is due to expire on June 30.
The 32-year-old contributed three goals and four assists in 22 competitive games so far this season.
Roma are already without Evan Ferguson, Artem Dovbyk, Manu Kone, Mario Hermoso and Angelino this evening, along with cup-tied Donyell Malen and Robinio Vaz.
