Roma will have another meeting with Mile Svilar’s agent to close on his wage demands for a new contract, despite the rumours of interest from Milan, with updates for Mattia Perin and Elia Caprile too.

The goalkeeper is currently under contract until June 2027, so the matter is not quite as urgent as some would like to believe.

Negotiations for a new deal had stalled, leading to reports that he was edging closer to Milan, especially if Mike Maignan were to leave for Chelsea.

Roma confident of keeping Svilar

However, Football Italia can reveal that Svilar’s future is increasingly centred around Roma, who are pushing hard to get near to his wage demands of €4m per season.

That gap can be bridged with the aid of add-ons and performance-related bonuses, so a new meeting is set to get the details down.

In other goalkeeping news around Serie A, Mattia Perin believes his time at Juventus is over and is ready to evaluate offers from both Italy and abroad.

As for Elia Caprile, Cagliari have decided to activate the €8m option to buy from Napoli after a successful loan, and will finalise the paperwork over the next few days.
