Kostas Tsimikas was signed by Roma with the hope of making him a regular on the left flank, but his performances mean the club is happy there were no obligations to Liverpool.
The negotiations dragged on for a while over the summer, with the Greek specialist asking Liverpool to let him leave, as he was enthusiastic about the Giallorossi project.
Fast forward a few months and there have been too many mistakes, some anonymous performances, pushing the ex-Liverpool man further and further down the pecking order.
The situation is so bad that even when Angelino was ruled out for weeks and created an emergency on the left wing, Gian Piero Gasperini preferred to shuffle Wesley across to the other side instead.
We cannot say yet that the experience in the Eternal City is coming to a close for Tsimikas.
What we can confirm is that Roma have absolutely no regrets that their agreement with Liverpool was a dry loan, without any guarantees or obligations to make it a permanent transfer.
