Inter Milan star striker Marcus Thuram will not be in contention for Saturday’s away Serie A clash against Roma.

According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, this fixture will come too soon for the Frenchman.

Marcus Thuram suffered a thigh injury during Inter’s 3-0 home win over Slavia Prague in late September.

Therefore, he was unavailable for the Nerazzurri’s last league outing against Cremonese.

Furthermore, Didier Deschamps left him out of his French squad during October’s international break.

Head coach Cristian Chivu trusted summer signing Ange-Yoan Bonny to fill Thuram’s shoes against Cremonese.

It proved an excellent decision as the 21-year-old delivered a sumptuous performance in his first Serie A start for Inter.

Indeed, Bonny scored once and racked up three assists as the Nerazzurri thumped La Cremo 4-1 at San Siro.

As such, the French starlet is the frontrunner to partner up with Lautaro Martinez in attack this weekend.

Meanwhile, Francesco Pio Esposito could start on the bench despite making his international breakthrough last week.
