Roma have approached Wolverhampton Wanderers for striker Fabio Silva and are ready to battle Olympique Marseille and Leeds United for Igor Paixao, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The Giallorossi have already been very active on the transfer market this summer as they transform the side to suit new coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

That is set to continue, as Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims they are in talks with Wolves for centre-forward Fabio Silva.

Fabio Silva on Roma radar

He just turned 23 last week and his contract with the club only runs to the end of the season, forcing the Premier League side to lower their asking price.

Purchased from FC Porto for €40m in 2020, Fabio Silva had loan experiences at RSC Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven, Glasgow Rangers and most recently Las Palmas.

He scored 10 goals in 24 LaLiga appearances for Las Palmas last season, along with three assists.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia also report Roma are back in the running for Paixao, as the Feyenoord attacking winger is by no means convinced by the idea of joining Leeds United.

The problem remains the asking price of €30m, along with added competition from Olympique Marseille and Roberto De Zerbi.

Gasperini had already wanted Paixao when he was still in charge of Atalanta, so it is a player he admires.
