Tottenham Hotspur are looking to improve their squad this summer, and they have prepared a transfer wishlist which includes Eberechi Eze.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the north London club are interested in signing the Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze, who was outstanding for the Eagles this past season. He scored 14 goals in all competitions and picked up 11 assists. The 26-year-old helped Crystal Palace win the FA Cup as well.
Romano revealed on GMS: “They are preparing the list together with Thomas Frank. So at the moment, there could be plenty of names before they decide who is the player they want. For sure. One player they appreciate already, since last summer, is Eberechi Eze, who did fantastically this season at Crystal Palace. And so he remains one of the targets in the list at Spurs.
“But at the moment still not an active negotiation, because they are still assessing all the options and then deciding who is the player they want to sign.”
Eze has firmly established himself as one of the best attacking players in the league, and he could prove to be a transformative addition for Tottenham. They need more depth and quality in the final third, and the 26-year-old will help them open up defences and find the back of the net.
The player is likely to be tempted to join a big club this summer, and Tottenham could be the ideal destination for him. They will be able to offer him Champions League football, and he will help them improve going forward.
Son Heung-min is in the twilight stages of his career, and Richarlison has been underwhelming. Tottenham need more depth in the attacking unit, and the England International could be the ideal acquisition.
The attacker has a £68 million release clause in his contract, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can negotiate the deal to sign him.
