The international break is almost over, and we’re close enough to the weekend to start thinking about who might start for Chelsea when they take on Brentford on Saturday night.

One doubt for the game was Romelu Lukaku, who had withdrawn from the Belgium squad after their Nations League semi final exit.

The striker had been overloaded by games according to his international manager Roberto Martinez, and wouldn’t feature in the third place playoff.

The good news for Blues fans is that he’s been training today, and according to the Metro, he will be fit to play on Saturday.

We had expected that – it seemed more like he was being given the third place game off as a break by Martinez rather than being actually injured – but it’s nice to have it confirmed.

Thomas Tuchel’s team is still working towards integrating the forward tactically, let’s hope the team takes a big step forward on Saturday evening.
