Ruben Amorim and Jason Wilcox reportedly agreed on the next move involving a Manchester United player at Old Trafford.
The 40-year-old Manchester United boss has overseen plenty of changes this summer, with several new arrivals and departures shaping the squad.
Ineos backed the club in the transfer window, providing funds to help bring fresh faces to Old Trafford.

United spent heavily, bringing in key additions such as Matheus Cunha from Wolves, Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
On the other side of things, Amorim also moved on players who didn’t fit into his plans, with Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho among those departing.
Andre Onana is expected to join Trabzonspor before the Turkish transfer window closes on Friday, with the Manchester United goalkeeper set for a loan move.
The 29-year-old Cameroon international has lost his starting place at Old Trafford this season, falling down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim.
Onana missed United’s pre-season tour through injury and has struggled to reclaim his position since then. Altay Bayindir, despite some shaky performances, has often been preferred in goal.
The Daily Mail reports that Amorim was frustrated by Onana’s hamstring injury early in pre-season. The manager is also said to be concerned about him becoming a distraction after Senne Lammens arrived late in the window.
There are concerns that keeping Onana around could shift focus away from new signing Senne Lammens, who needs time to settle into his role as the team’s new first-choice keeper.
Reports say Amorim and United’s director of football Jason Wilcox met and agreed it was best for all sides if Onana moved on, at least temporarily. While there may still be questions over whether it’s the right move long-term, the two were aligned over what came next.
Andre Onana’s future at Manchester United came into question after the club moved for Senne Lammens, who joined on deadline day from Royal Antwerp.
Lammens arrived at Old Trafford in a deal worth an initial £18.1m, with add-ons potentially increasing the final fee. The 23-year-old is expected to compete for the starting role this season.
The Daily Mail reports that Sir Jim Ratcliffe supported the decision made by Wilcox and Amorim to move Onana out of the squad.
According to the same report, Onana was said to be surprised by Ratcliffe’s backing of the move, which made it clear that there was no way back for him under Wilcox and Amorim’s leadership.
