Ruben Neves is best known to Manchester United fans for his time with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Neves scored a total of 30 goals for Wolves in his six seasons at the club.

He was also known to score some wonder goals in a Wolves shirt, with his highlight reel in the club’s promotion to the Premier League a particularly entising watch.

Neves was a key part of one of the most successful periods in Wolves’ history, and is remembered fondly by Wolves fans despite his departure.

The Daily Mail have reported that Neves is being considered an option for United in next month’s transfer window.

Neves signed for Saudi side Al-Hilal in 2023 from Wolves in 2023, for a fee of £47 million.

His contract ends in the summer and it is being reported that the Saudi side would be open to a £20 million transfer.

This comes after the futures of three of United’s midfielders are in doubt in January.

Brazil captain Casemiro is being heavily linked with a move away from the club, with America seen as the most logical destination.

Manuel Ugarte is being linked with a move to Turkey after a difficult time at the club since arriving from Sporting Lisbon.

The future of Kobbie Mainoo is also subject to much media attention and he almost left on loan for Napoli in August, a move that was rejected by the club.

In recent days, Bruno Fernandes has publicly spoken of the club being prepared to let him go for over £100 last summer.

United have also been linked with midfield reinforcement, these named being Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton, Conor Gallagher and Carlos Baleba.

United will likely be looking to bolster their squad after just two wins in their last seven games that sees the club currently in sixth place.
